Something I had always regretted was not getting to see the Charlatans live when I lived in England but, thanks to the Wickerman Festival, I was able to experience the wonderful sounds at a level not available to me in my front room. Thanks to the excellent sound system the Charlatans sounded superb, crystal clear! There is only so much of a "show" that bands playing Wickerman can put on but this is common with all music festivals. This puts enormous pressure on the acts to work the crowd but with such rousing songs there wasn't much need for stage antics. They were fantastic...
