A Wicker Mask

Dotted around the Wickerman Music Festival site you will find various art installations. The above wicker mask was to the left of the main stage and while the stage was more of a professional standard/type this year a few wicker items here and there kept the whole thing looking slightly more organic than your usual music festival stage. Unfortunately the main stage did lack the amazing character of the previous year but I suppose the benefits outweighed the cons.
At the end of the day a music festival needs to turn a profit to continue to exist and this means that the Wickerman Festival is likely to continue to become slightly more mainstream than previous years. Most people agree that they should maintain it's roots and cater for it's long term devotees and they do appear to improve in numerous areas each year. However, if you really want to experience something truly unique, it is up to you to get yourself a ticket for this year's Wickerman Music Festival before it changes too much.
