Warning: I suspect that the photographs that I plan to add to this page of the lead singer, Roddy Woomble, of Idlewild may have a profound effect upon the females visiting this site.
It amazes me that Idlewild are not up there with the top ten rock bands of the moment, the've been around since 1995, the singer is extremely good looking and their music is excellent, so why is it that they are not in huge demand and known to everyone and his/her best friend. Maybe 2009/2010 is Idlewild's year? Well judging from the bands performance at the Wickerman Festival 2009 if there is any justice...
As I sat watching Idlewild (it was far too hot and sunny for me and my tired legs) I took the time to look around the crowd and virtually every woman had that same look on their faces as they looked on with amorous thoughts to a singer that had the prescence of a young Jim Morrison (and I do not say that lightly). If you want a quick introduction to the bands music buy or download their album "Scottish Fiction" the best of 1997-2007 and if you like that get ready for "A Distant History- Rarities" which is due out on the 29th October.
