Last year in the Scooter tent we were blown away by the Manchester band Orphan Boy (thanks for the T-shirt guys) who played a superb tent in the Scooter Tent. This year another Manchester band blasted out one of the finest sets of the day, in the Scooter Tent, Kid British. Kid British were to appear on the main stage but they arrived late and were rescheduled to play in the Scooter Tent. Whoever made this decision must be congratulated as Kid British were far more suited to the Scooter tent which was dark and packed full. Working within the confined space of the tent Kid British created the most intense atmosphere that the tent is renowned for. Simply put this atmosphere would not have been possible on the main stage so early in the evening!

Kid British sounded far more "Ska" live than on record, which got the crowd bouncing wildly and while many in the crowd were anticipating the performance of Our House Is Dadless (especially the group of girls to left of stage who screamed for most of the set - thankfully drowned out by the music) the two stand out songs for me (and my personal favorites of Kid British) were Sunny Days and Lost in london.

If you would like to see more photographs of the Dreadzone playing at the Wickerman Festival 2009 please bookmark this page and return soon as I will be adding many, many more. Alternatively visit the Official Wickerman Festival Gallery (currently showing 2008 pics) or the Skiddle Galleries.
