This fairground ride was kept busy until the early hours of the morning. The music was pumping out and the screams seemed endless. As you can see from the photograph above the whole thing span and tilted around until it did a full 360 degree turn. The screams hightened as it seemed to spend an age unpside down.
Although this ride was extremely popular with those who went on it, it was not so popular with those camping nearby. In a strange lack of foresight the ride had been placed close to the "Quiet Camping" area. Although I never sleep much at the Wickerman Festival I was camped near to this area and was acutely aware of the ride as they played lively pumping music which seemed to startle. On the forums I have read complaints at the music keeping people awake and they seemed to blame the tents. I find the dance tents very loud until about 5am but the music is repetitive and therefore helps me sleep - or, sometimes it entices me to get back up and party and that is exactly what happened this year. I think that they may move this ride to elsewhere next year as it was unusually set apart from the fairground which is more ideally placed (maybe the owners turned up too late to set up in the main fairground area?).
