This year we were allowed access to the Wickerman Festival site a day early so that we could photograph some of the areas with less people (many, many thanks Caroline & Sid). Even though we were there before the general public were allowed access there were still large numbers of people here there and everywhere. Watching the final pieces being put together made me realise how much work goes into creating and preparing the Wickerman site for two days of intense pleasure.
The photograph above was taken from the dance area. This year it was named Bass Camp and had an army theme, complete with a tank, army tents and other items. The clothing theme this year was camo and tartan but not so many took up the theme as did last year (mohawks). To the left of the tank are a few of the food stalls (more appeared over the next few hours until there was a food stall for every taste). In the distance you can just make out the main stage.
