We pride ourselves on our high standard of accommodation; all rooms are decorated in keeping with our beautiful Victorian home and are spotlessly clean.Coffee tea and freshly cut sandwiches are available on request, and this is served in the Guests Lounge. We have private parking for 6 cars, and are happy to take late arrivals from ferries etc.

Lakeview is situated on the seafront, 5 minutes' walk from the town centre and the Stenaline terminal building.

We have 6 bedrooms, 4 of which are en suite and 2 that overlook Agnew Park and the lovely Loch Ryan.

Awarded a 3-star Scottish tourist board, a very warm welcome awaits you at this family-run guest house. Lakeview is spotlessly clean and comfortable. We pride ourselves on our full Scottish breakfast served in our beautiful dining room overlooking Lochryan. We are only a 5 minute walk from the local restaurants and shops. As Stranraer is quite a busy town it is advisable that if you plan to dine out during your stay that you contact us direct or state your requirements on the booking form and we will gladly reserve a table for you at one of the wonderful restaurants nearby.

We are happy to take late arrivals from ferries etc, however if arriving later than 22:00, please contact us by phone prior to arrival. For your information, Lakeview has no ground floor bedrooms or disabled facilities. For the safety and comfort of our guests, smoking is not permitted in Lakeview.

Located in charming lawned gardens close to the A77, this hotel-style guest house boasts views over Loch Ryan and is just 20 yards from an attractive shingle beach.

The guest house is 4 minutes' drive from Stranraer ferry terminal and a one minute drive from Cairnryan, making it ideally positioned for the Stena Line ferries to Belfast and the P&O ferries to Larne.

Offering a range of accommodation, the building has the scale and design of a hotel (although we do not have a licensed bar), but offers the prices and hospitality that define a quality guest house or B&B.

Opened by Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester in 1943, the building itself has had a variety of uses, boasting a history that can make a place feel very special. Whilst the rooms are decorated with contemporary furniture, the corridors and other communal areas mix antiques with modern design.

Breakfast is served from 07:30, overlooking the gardens, the loch and the docking ferries. For earlier departures, a tray is provided with juice, cereal and either croissants (with preserves) or bacon, egg and tomato baguettes (by prior arrangement only). Evening meals can be arranged with prior notice, alternatively a licensed restaurant is available approximately 2 miles (3 km) away.

Minimum duration of stay is one night. Maximum duration of stay is 3 nights.

The entire building is strictly non-smoking.
