This former coaching inn, set in a picturesque market town near the beautiful Solway coast, dates back to the 1700s.

The hotel is just a short drive from the shore and a number of golf courses. After a day of exploring or a round of golf you can return to the warm, friendly atmosphere of the hotel and enjoy some tasty, home cooked cuisine and relax beside the log fire in the hotel's lounge.

Some of the hotel's rooms have recently been tastefully refurbished; others will undergo this process soon.

The hotel's Wallace Restaurant offers good home-cooked food using fresh local ingredients in a relaxing environment, with cozy log fires and even a play area to keep the children amused. Open daily from 12.00-14.00 for Lunch and 17.00-21.00 for evening meals.

Our St. Andrew's Lounge bar is open daily from 10.30 till late serving snacks during Lunchtime. It has an excellent range of malts, beers and wines as well as a range of bottled beers from the local Sulwarth brewery.

The hotel also has a munber of large and small rooms perfectly suited for private dining or large functions.
